Turn to the Father.

These words resonated in her soul like a balm for her wounds. She felt a spark of hope and decided to turn to the Lord for relief.
(Matthew 11:28)

In a quiet corner of a bustling town, there lived a woman named Mary. Mary was known for her kindness and willingness to help others, but in her heart she carried a heavy burden. Life’s hardships had left her tired and burdened, and she often found herself without the strength to continue.

One evening, as she walked through the market, Mary heard a preacher in the marketplace reciting the words of Jesus: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). These words resonated in her soul like a balm for her wounds. She felt a spark of hope and decided to turn to the Lord for relief.

That night, Mary knelt by his bedside and, with tears in her eyes, told the Lord all of her worries and pains. She gave him her burdens and asked for his peace. As she prayed, she felt a warm, comforting presence enveloping her, as if invisible arms were embracing her. At that moment, she knew she was not alone.

From that day on, Mary began to seek the Lord in every moment of distress. Whenever she felt overwhelmed, she would stop and pray, giving her burdens to God. Little by little, she began to notice a change in her life. The worries that had once weighed her down now seemed lighter, and her heart was filled with an inexplicable peace.

One day, the village faced a great crisis. A drought had left the fields dry and the wells empty. The people were desperate and did not know what to do. Mary, remembering the words of Jesus, gathered her neighbors and asked them to go to the Lord in prayer.

As they prayed together, a dark cloud appeared on the horizon. Within minutes, the sky opened and it began to rain. The rain brought life to the fields and hope to the hearts of the people. Everyone recognized that it had been a miracle, an answer to their prayers.

From then on, Mary became a beacon of faith and hope for her community. Her story of trust in the Lord inspired many to follow her example and seek rest in God. And so the little town flourished, not only in prosperity, but in unwavering faith in the Lord.

Mary learned that by turning to the Lord with her burdens, she found the rest and peace she needed to continue. And at every step of her journey, she felt God’s loving presence, guiding and sustaining her.
